- Guillaume Soh Rui Yong holds five national records in the 5000m, 10000m, half marathon and marathon, and has been described by the President of Singapore as "the most outstanding long-distance runner in our history". A double SEA Games marathon gold medallist in 2015 and 2017, he became the first Singaporean to win silver in the 10,000m at the SEA Games in 2023. He also holds the Guinness World Record for "Fastest marathon in a suit (male)," and his back-to-back selections for the 5000m and 10000m at both the 2023 and 2025 SEA Games reflect his enduring status as Singapore's finest long-distance running talent.
