- Kampton Kam is a Singaporean high jumper and the national record holder in the men's high jump, having cleared 2.25m in April 2025 to surpass the 30-year-old mark previously held by Wong Yew Tong. A student-athlete at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, where he competes for the Penn Quakers, Kam has overcome a collapsed lung that forced his withdrawal from the Asian Games 2022 just a week before competition. He returned to the international stage at the SEA Games 2025 in Bangkok, clearing 2.19m to win silver, Singapore's first medal in the men's high jump at the Games in 30 years. Reflecting on his comeback, he described the achievement as fuel to keep pushing toward future editions of the Games.
