Jeremiah Liauw Thiam Hee
Para Swimming
- Profile
- Jeremiah was quite literally "thrown into the water", introduced to swimming as a baby by his mother, and the pool has been his home ever since. The young swimmer, who has Spina Bifida Myelomeningocele, finds freedom in the water in a way that movement on land doesn't always allow. One of the youngest debutants at the 2022 ASEAN Para Games in Solo at just 15 years old, Jeremiah headed into the Games with strong momentum, having clocked a personal best in the 50m Butterfly at the 2021 Asian Youth Para Games in Bahrain. Inspired by Singaporean para swimming trailblazers Theresa Goh, Yip Pin Xiu, and Toh Wei Soong, Jeremiah hopes to one day follow in their footsteps and represent Singapore at the Paralympic Games.
