When Jazlene was young, she loved being in the water, but was often sick so she only learned to swim at the age of 10. She won her first gold medal in the 100m Breaststroke at the Singapore Press Holding (SPH) Para Swimming Competition in 2016 at the age of 14. Since then, she has participated in many swimming competitions and the most recent was the Virtus Oceania Asia Games in Australia in November 2022, along with the Citi Para Swimming World Series in both Singapore and Berlin in May 2023, where she broke her personal best in every event. She is delighted to be selected to represent Singapore at the Asian Para Games 2023 in Hangzhou where she will strive to achieve another personal best and national record in her event.
