- Clarence Chew Zhe Yu became the first Singapore-born table tennis player to qualify for the Olympic Games, winning the Asian qualification tournament in Doha in 2021. A decorated multi-event competitor, he has won gold at the SEA Games in the Men's Team event across multiple editions, as well as gold at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, silver at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and multiple medals at the Asian Games. A consistent presence in Singapore's table tennis programme for over a decade, Clarence continues to serve as both a senior campaigner and an inspiration to the next generation of Singapore-born paddlers.
