- Karl Dahlen Phua picked up basketball around 12 years old but it was in secondary school that he truly fell in love with the sport, drawn by the grind and the opportunity to improve. After joining Singapore's national 3x3 training squad, he embraced the transition to the fast-paced format, crediting strong understanding of spacing and tactics as key to performing at a high level. At the 2025 SEA Games in Bangkok, Singapore's men's 3x3 team made history by winning the nation's first-ever SEA Games medal in the event, claiming the silver medal at the Nimibutr Stadium.
