- Shafina Mahesh is the captain of Singapore's national women's cricket team and one of its most influential figures, competing in the Women's Sixes, T10, and T20 formats at the SEA Games. Named captain at just 19 after previously dabbling in netball, she rose to the role rapidly and was subsequently sent to the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore for a training stint, where she learnt from top coaches including Rahul Dravid. A wicketkeeper-batter who has played over 41 matches for Singapore, her highest score is an unbeaten 92 against the Philippines, which also earned her the Player of the Match award.
