- Profile
- Mikayla Yang first announced herself on the international stage at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, where she competed in the Individual All-Around at just 16, finishing 17th overall against Asia's best rhythmic gymnasts. She described the experience as exciting but nerve-wracking, noting the lift she felt from competing alongside the full Team Singapore contingent. At the 2025 SEA Games in Bangkok, she took silver in the women's rhythmic individual all-around final, delivering Singapore's first individual rhythmic gymnastics medal since 2017. Thanking her coaches and family afterwards, she said: "I'm happy and grateful that I'm still able to get a medal. I will work harder for the next one and hopefully bring home the gold the next time."
