- Mawjit Singh is a familiar presence in Singapore's para sports scene, having started out as a team manager before transitioning to the playing field. The 2022 Asian Para Games in Hangzhou marked his third Games appearance, with Mawjit undeterred by a full shoulder operation that made training challenging in the lead up to the competition. He and long time partner Khirmern Bin Mohamad went on to claim Singapore's first ever podium finish at the 2023 World Bowls Championships, earning a historic joint bronze medal, which earned them selection to the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. His decades of service to Singapore's para lawn bowls programme, first as an official and then as an athlete, make him one of the sport's most cherished figures in the country.
