- James Joseph Michael got associated with lawn bowls in 2019 and very swiftly donned national colours at various tournaments, making his Asian Para Games debut in Hangzhou in 2022. Prior to the Games, he had claimed gold in the B7 category at the Thailand Para Lawn Bowls International Championship, and his goal was to replicate that performance on the bigger stage. Working in the food delivery industry, James describes himself as a hard-working person who draws motivation from his love of family and friends. His rapid rise from newcomer to Asian Para Games representative within just a few years reflects the natural talent and competitive instinct he brings to the sport.
