- Faridah Binte Salleh has been involved with para sports since 2014, starting with para shooting before taking up lawn bowls competitively in 2016. Diagnosed with polio in her right leg since she was two years old, she has competed at multiple editions of the ASEAN Para Games and the Asian Para Games. At the 2022 Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, she made history by bringing home Singapore's first para lawn bowls medal, a silver in the Women's Singles B6 category, a breakthrough that came after near misses at previous editions of the Games. Driven by her husband's unwavering support and a desire to inspire others to take up the sport, Faridah continues to be one of Singapore's most dedicated para lawn bowls athletes.
