- Mas Ridzwan Bin Mohamad Ali was introduced to BMX racing at nine by his father, a former BMX racer, and the two used to cycle at the old Tampines Bike Park before he was recruited into the national developmental squad by his coach. Diagnosed with dyslexia at ten, Mas found that BMX racing gave him an outlet for self-expression and helped him overcome a childhood fear of heights. At the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, he competed in the Men's BMX Racing event at the Chun'an Jieshou Sports Centre, finishing eleventh in the time trial. His journey from the Tampines Bike Park to the Asian Games is a testament to the transformative power of sport.
