- Gene Leck Yuan Jie is a Singaporean women's field hockey player who competes with the national Women's Team at the Asian Games and SEA Games. Making the SEA Games team in 2017 after returning from an extended break to focus on her studies, Gene described it as a deeply meaningful moment as her effort and hard work had finally paid off, with the team coming home with a bronze medal to make it extra sweet. She went on to qualify for the Asian Games in Hangzhou, describing it as one of the highlights of her hockey career, and continued to represent Singapore at the 2025 SEA Games.
