- Ho Puay Ling (he Peiling) is one of the most iconic figures in Singapore women's field hockey, having served as captain of the national Women's Team for many years across the SEA Games and Asian Games. A midfielder and full-time educator, Puay Ling spent 13 years in Team Singapore and 17 years playing hockey, representing Singapore at four SEA Games and reaching the milestone of her 100th international cap at the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou against Malaysia. She also played in Spain's domestic league for Castelldefels Hockey Club, bringing valuable international club experience back to the national setup.
