- Phua Zhao Rong has played volleyball for over 13 years and beach volleyball for around four years, making her 2023 SEA Games appearance her first at the biennial Games, a moment she had been anticipating throughout her transition from indoor to beach volleyball. She partnered Eliza Chong at the 2023 SEA Games in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, as one of Singapore's two women's pairs at the tournament. Her combination of long indoor volleyball experience and growing beach expertise makes her a valuable presence in Singapore's women's beach programme.
