- Amita Marie Nicolette Berthier, born on 15 December 2000, is a Singaporean left-handed foil fencer, two-time Olympian, and four-time medallist at the NCAA Fencing Championships while at the University of Notre Dame. She became the first Singaporean fencer to win a Junior World Cup title and the first to qualify for the Olympics through a qualifying tournament based on individual world ranking. At the 2025 SEA Games in Bangkok, she delivered one of the Games' most memorable performances, coming back from 8-14 down in her semi-final to claim the women's individual foil gold, her third SEA Games title after victories in 2017 and 2019, six years after her last SEA Games appearance. Her coach described her as having "a really great talent" and "a big heart," adding: "She showed us she doesn't give up."
