- Aaron was born on 24 January 1979, and in November 2006, a motorcycle accident on his way home from work changed his life forever, leaving him with a complete spinal cord injury at C5-C6 and paralysis of both his upper and lower limbs. Rather than letting his condition define him, Aaron has channelled his resilience into both sport and art. On the table tennis court, he was part of the landmark Singapore team at the 2015 ASEAN Para Games that won the country's first ever gold medal in para table tennis, defeating Thailand in the men's team Class 1-2 event. He has also competed at international para table tennis competitions, advancing to the finals in the Class 1 event. Beyond sport, Aaron was recognised with the North East HeARTS Shining Hearts Award in April 2024 for his achievements and contributions in the visual arts as a mouth painter.
