- Nicole Alethea Khaw Mei Shan is a national taekwondo athlete representing Singapore in freestyle poomsae. Before taking up taekwondo at the age of 15, she trained as an artistic gymnast for 11 years, later joining the national squad in 2016 and making her international debut representing Singapore that same year. From 2019 to 2023, Nicole was based in South Korea, where she trained while pursuing an anthropology degree abroad. Following her graduation, she returned to Singapore to continue her athletic journey and is currently focused on intensive training alongside completing her master’s degree. Most recently, she won a silver medal in the Freestyle Poomsae Female Individual Over-17 event at the Southeast Asian Games and achieved a 9th-place finish in both the individual and pair categories at the World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships.
