- Gong Qianyun is an outstanding and dominant force in the local chess scene, holding an impressive record of eleven Singapore Women's Chess Championship titles. At the 2019 SEA Games, she clinched the gold medal in the Rapid category, Singapore's first gold medal in chess at the SEA Games, before securing silver in Rapid and bronze in Blitz at the 2021 edition. She successfully defended her national title at the 76th Singapore National Championship in 2025, winning her 11th national championship after a tiebreaker, cementing her position as Singapore's undisputed top female chess player.
