Olympian
- Profile
- Shen-Yan Freida Lim is the first female Singaporean diver to qualify for the Olympic Games, and the second Singaporean diver overall to do so after Jonathan Chan, qualifying after placing 15th at the semi-finals of the 2021 FINA Diving World Cup in the 10m platform event. Lim started in competitive swimming as a child, but at 14 was diagnosed with Graves' disease, which required her to stop swimming and choose a less endurance-based sport, leading her to diving. She competed at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and the 2021 SEA Games, and has since transitioned into coaching and sports administration with Singapore Aquatics, helping to develop the next generation of Singaporean divers.
