A member of Singapore's mixed bridge squad, Tan Sock Ngin was part of a six-strong team that secured a bronze medal at the Games, contributing to Singapore's well-established tradition of competitive bridge at the Asian level. Contract bridge made its debut as an Asian Games medal sport at the 2018 Games, where Singapore won gold in the open team, and the country has continued to be a strong contender in the sport at the continental level.
