A member of Singapore's strong contract bridge contingent, Choon Cheng was part of the Singapore mixed team of six players that navigated a competitive 11-round round-robin stage before advancing to the semi-finals, ultimately claiming a bronze medal alongside teammates Loo Choon Chou, Luo Cheng, Gideon Tan, Lam Ze Ying, and Tan Sock Ngin.
