- Ong Shu Wen is one of Singapore's most celebrated and longest-serving women's canoe polo players, competing with the national Women's Team at the Asian Games. Having first played canoe polo in 2003, Shu Wen made her first international representation at the 2005 Asian Championships in Malaysia and was part of the historic team that clinched Singapore's first Asian Championships gold at the 2015 edition in Hong Kong. Her team also achieved Singapore's highest world ranking at the 2018 World Championships, qualifying for the country's first World Games in 2022, a testament to her two-decade dedication to the sport.
