- Nur Syahidah Binte Alim is the first female archer to represent Singapore at the Paralympic Games, making her debut at Rio 2016, and became Singapore's first ever world champion at the World Archery Para Championships in 2019, shooting in the women's compound category while managing cerebral palsy. A three-time Paralympian, she competed at her most recent Games in Paris 2024, where she fought through rain and cold conditions before narrowly exiting in the 1/16 elimination round. Her first medal haul at the 2015 ASEAN Para Games, where she won two gold medals on Singapore's first-ever appearance in para archery at a multi-sport event, marked the beginning of a career that has transformed the profile of para archery in Singapore.
