- Max Tan started therapeutic riding at RDA Singapore at the age of seven, and, coming from a family with a strong sporting background, had previously represented Singapore in international sailing competitions before beginning competitive para-equestrian riding at 18. Born with cerebral palsy, he has represented Singapore at the London 2012, Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, and has also represented the para-sports community at the International Paralympic Committee Athletes Forum, while actively advocating for disability inclusion in Singapore through the Purple Parade and in his professional career.
