- Lim Xavier Jie Rui, who has achondroplasia, is the only short-stature badminton player in Singapore, and underwent lumbar surgery in 2021 to correct spinal stenosis before adapting able-bodied training methods to suit his own physical needs. He has represented Singapore in the Men's Singles SH6 para badminton category at the ASEAN Para Games, competing in both the 2023 edition in Cambodia and returning for the 2025 edition.
