- Margaret Lim Poh Eng is one of Singapore's most enduring lawn bowls athletes, first representing Singapore at the 2001 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur as part of the bronze medal-winning women's fours team. After stepping away from the national team for 16 years due to work commitments, she made a remarkable comeback and was rewarded with gold when she, Amira Goh Quee Kee, and Shermeen Lim Xin Yi won the women's triples at the 2019 SEA Games, beating the Philippines 16-13 in the final. She went on to represent Singapore at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in the women's triples event, competing alongside her gold-medal winning teammates. Known for her belief in teamwork and never giving up, Lim remains one of the most experienced and inspirational figures in Singapore lawn bowls.
