- Hillary Nicole Yu Zhiying transitioned into aquathlon in 2022 after a background in competitive swimming and water polo in Western Australia, where she trains with the elite squad at Eclipse Performance Centre in Perth. Her SEA Games debut came at the 2023 edition in Cambodia, where she was part of the Singapore Mixed Aquathlon Team Relay squad that competed at Kep Beach alongside Cedric Chua, Lim Wan Ting and Samir Varma. Her unconventional pathway from pool to multisport reflects the diversity of backgrounds that Singapore's triathlon programme continues to draw from in building its next generation of athletes.
