Li Ling primarily plays the role of a goalkeeper. Her first international representation for Singapore was at the 2013 Asian Championships in India and has been blocking out the shots since. Notably, she was part of the team that clinched Singapore's first Asian Championship title at the 2015 Championships. With her team, they achieved Singapore's highest world ranking at 2018 World Championships, allowing the team to qualify for Singapore's first World Games in 2022 in which they finished 6th.
