Ong Han Loong

"Han Loong has been playing canoe polo since 2005 and first represented Singapore in the U21 Mens' category in 2009. He plays the role of a zoner in defence and a box player for offence. He captained the Men's Senior team at the 2017 Asian Canoe Polo Championships in which the team finished 4th. His many years of playing experience both locally and overseas has since taken his playing career up a notch with him taking up coaching roles – first with the NUS Women's team since 2016 and more recently the National Women's team's coach since 2022. He brought the National Women's team up to the World Games, in Birmingham Alabama, USA, in 2022, where they placed a creditable 6th, beating the likes of Great Britain. That same year, he also led the Women's team to finish 11th (2nd Asian team) at the 2022 World Championships, St Omer, France. His other coaching success includes a top 6 placing at the 2023 Deustchland Cup in May, the Women's Team's best achievement to date."
