Marcus is the captain of the Singapore Canoe Polo Men's team. In 2018, Marcus made his international debut when he participated in the 2018 KL Canoe International Championships, contributing to the champion title that his team clinched. He has achieved creditable performances with the team, including a silver medal at the 2019 Japan Demo Masters Invitational Games, bronze medal at the 2023 Chinese Taipei National Championship, and a 4th-place finish at the 2023 Asia Pacific Canoe Polo Championship.
