- Gwa Wei Ying Cheryl, known as Cheryl Gwa, is one of Singapore's longest-serving Muay Thai fighters and a 2023 world championships runner-up. She became the third Singaporean woman to win a SEA Games Muay Thai medal when she claimed bronze in the women's 48kg category at the SEA Games 2021 in Hanoi, and continued to build on her experience at the SEA Games 2023, the Asian Games 2022, and the SEA Games 2025, also making her World Games debut in Chengdu and earning silver at the Asian Muay Thai Championship. Reflecting on her growth as a fighter, Cheryl has said that for her, every bout has become less about winning or losing and more about the quality of her performance and what she can learn from each opponent.
