My name is Velvan. I picked up boxing when I was 12 years old and it keeps me going because of the support from my loved ones who believe in me. I never thought that I will be stepping into the ring to compete for my country as my initial goal when I started boxing was to get fit and to keep up with an active lifestyle. Here I am, preparing for the upcoming 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia after many setbacks but I will always find joy during and after every competition I took part in and come back for more with the lessons learned. Not forgetting the time spent with my teammates preparing for our games and enjoying the process, taking it one at a time. Aside from competitive boxing, I am also a boxing and fitness instructor and I take on the responsibility to coach individuals with different goals through boxing.
