Sara Merican

I am Sara Merican. My journey in cricket started at a university sports fair when I was pursuing a postgraduate degree at the University of Cambridge. I fell in love with the sport after three sessions. It must have been the sound of the bat hitting the ball and the excitement of hustling for runs. It also helped that the university's cricket facility was only a 10-minute walk away from where I lived! Before cricket, I played competitive football for 10 years and was part of the national football team. Outside of sports, I'm involved in the media and film sectors.
