Melissa Chan Pei Tung

Starting the sport relatively late in 2018, Melissa switched over from competitive swimming. Growing up, she has always been labelled as lacking ball sense, and she would never have imagined being in a ball sport like her brother. At that time, her knowledge of water polo largely came from watching him play at the national school games and competing for the National youth team. But she had no knowledge of the rules, and not even knowing how many players there were in each match. Equipped with limited knowledge and zero skills, she was thrown into a training game one fine Sunday, which happened to be her first ever water polo training, and she has never looked back.
