Darren Chan Wei Siang

Darren started swimming in school as his CCA. Darren's natural ability saw him winning medals and achieving Personal Bests. This is what drives him on to continue training hard. Darren looks up to Caeleb Remel Dressel, an American professional swimmer who specialises in freestyle, butterfly, and individual medley events. Darren hopes to qualify for the Paralympic Games. Darren represented Singapore at the Singapore 2019 World Para Swimming World Series and has been improving his timings since. Darren represented Singapore at the Bahrain 2021 Asian Youth Para Games and won two bronze medals in the Men’s 12-18 200m Freestyle S14 and Men's 17-18 200m Individual Medley SM14. This is Darren's ASEAN Para Games debut. In his free time, Darren can be found drawing, watching webtoon, exercising, watching YouTube videos on swimming competition.
