Multi-disciplined athlete and an outstanding development coach, Gary has medalled at every SEA Games since his maiden outing in 2013. With a solid judo base, Gary explored Sport Sambo, and Freestyle Wrestling, seeking ways to add value for his young charges, while challenging himself. He is an inspiration and an excellent role model as a sportsman, mentor and coach. In addition to consistent podium finishes in Judo, Sport Sambo, and Freestyle Wrestling, Gary also represented Singapore at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, ranked 5th (FS86kg) at the 2023 Asian Wrestling Championship, in Kazakhstan, and returned with a silver medal (FS79kg) at the recent SEA Games, in Cambodia. These opportunities provide Gary with valuable experiences and up to date training methods, providing him with valuable coaching tools for his young charges. Gary is looking forward to the Asian Games, and another great opportunity to compete, observe and learn from some of the best wrestlers in Asia.
