Having shot for 3 years, Lionel joined the National Youth Team in 2020, and has since been an integral part of the National Team. Representing Singapore for the first time at the ISSF Jakarta Grand Prix in 2022, Lionel clinched a Gold and Bronze. He further clinched a Silver medal in the 31st SEA Games, which was his first Major Games. In 2023, he achieved 5th at the ISSF Junior World Cup in Suhl, and will be juggling his A level studies while representing Singapore at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou.
